Chappell Appoints Kevin Woody As New Chief Operating Officer
Woody’s appointment as Chief Operating Officer is indicative of the firm’s ongoing commitment to Triangle expansion and exceptional client experience. As COO, Woody will assume the daily operations and management of the Chappell [Powered By Compass] team, as well as the firm’s new sister marketing company – reroute.

Woody brings decades of invaluable industry insight and a track record of successfully scaling teams in our region. An experienced real-estate executive, he will expand the firm’s C-suite leadership core and immediately make an impact on Chappell’s organizational structure, efficiency, team culture, and more.

Woody comes to Chappell with more than 25 years of real estate and leadership development experience. On top of a decade as a top-performing agent, he has excelled in executive roles within numerous firms including a variety of other major firms in the Triangle. Throughout his extensive tenure with multiple teams, Woody has spearheaded organizational success through driving high-level recruitment, fostering and sharpening team leadership skills, and prioritizing intentional innovation.
Woody’s methodology and business solutions are proven and served as the primary reasons for his appointment. He will greatly contribute to and help lead the growth potential of the firm.

While at Go Realty, Woody served as CEO for six years where he oversaw the company’s growth from a start-up to a top-10 brokerage in the Raleigh market. Under his leadership, the firm expanded its brick and mortar operations, onboarded 100 agents, launched a real estate school, and received Tech Innovation Company of the Year within its franchise network.
As COO at Chappell, Woody plans to bring these experiences to help pioneer a new era of Chappell growth & expansion in the Triangle market.
“I’m coming to Chappell with years of leadership experience, local knowledge, and of course, a passion for real estate. Outside of Chappell, Woody is currently the President-Elect of the Realtor Giving Network within the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors. Previously, Woody held Director roles in both the Raleigh Association of Realtors and the Durham Association of Realtors.

Kevin earned his B.A. in English from Wake Forest University and his MDiv from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Alongside his REALTOR® Institute (GRI) Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designations, he is a Section4 Certified Strategist for his ability to drive enterprise value while thinking critically, strategically, and actionably in a digital age. Additionally, his partnership group was previously recognized as an Inman Nominee for Most Innovative Brokerage of the Year, and Woody continues to serve as a contributor for Inman News, a leading provider of independent real estate news and commentary.
