Maggie Sparling Broker, Developer Services & Acquisitions
A native of Winston Salem, I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in Management & Society (Economics and Sociology) and a minor in Spanish. I sang in an a cappella group, The UNC Loreleis, and learned what a force 16 smart, strong, passionate and empowered women can be. Upon graduating, I spent a month hiking in northern Spain, moved to the Triangle and immediately launched into a real estate career. I secured my NCRE license and started working for a national home builder in sales and then in land acquisition. I learned I am good at property valuation, analytical research, maintaining an informed opinion on every sub-market in the Triangle, knocking on doors and am a Google Maps expert. And I am bad at hearing “no”. I am passionate about seeing the Triangle grow and finding ways to make new deals happen- while always being diligent, kind and doing the right thing.
At Chappell, I am thrilled to be working closely with Johnny on his Developer Services team, helping source and expedite new development opportunities while working closely with loyal investor, developer and builder clients to help identify and maximize their real estate investments.
Outside of work, I enjoy scream-singing karaoke with friends, connecting people with people and things they are passionate about, hosting parties, reminding people that I am a verified Mayflower descendent and telling them about that one family vacation where I spent 23 hours (round trip) wedged between my two sisters in the backseat of a sedan. Our destination: Plymouth Rock, which is quite literally a rock. I also enjoy using the word “kismet”, forgetting whether or not I’ve fed my 2 (yes, multiple) cats and of course, and falling asleep within 5 minutes of any movie, even in theaters.
