When you are doing what you love, it’s really all that you need. I joined the world of residential real estate in 2002, when the world had stopped due to 9/11. Even though times were tough, the process of buying and selling homes was still a positive, happy place to be. I quickly realized that I was doing what I was supposed to be doing. I thrived on the energy of the business, thoroughly enjoying the creative aspect of design and then physically watching a home come to life. It’s easy to admire the craftsmanship and skills of the many talented people involved in building a home, from the first drawings on paper to the final physical beauty of the home. As a former college gymnast, cheerleader, and sports enthusiast, the team work that it takes to create a home resonated with me.
But the main reason I love this business is the people. What an incredible opportunity to meet and befriend so many interesting people from all walks of life. Both an honor and a privilege, I cherish the ability to help clients find, build and create the home that is right for them. We ARE building a home together, but we are mostly building memories and my goal is that the time spent together leaves clients with a rich experience that is fondly remembered.
Born and bred in the Triangle area, I have never been enticed to live anywhere else. This is home and I am excited to see the growth and change that this area continues to experience. True Carolina blue grad, I raised a daughter and son who are Wolfpackers. How did that happen? When not working, you can find me walking my Coonhound/Boxer mix dog, Murphy, kayaking and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, vegging at the coast, pushing through a Pilate’s class or singing in the choir. Gardening and reading are two other hobbies but quite frankly, I’d rather be getting to know another happy homeowner and helping them find their next happy place.
