Chappell Celebrates Sold Out Wake Forest Collection

The Forest on Franklin, a modern craftsman-style collection of 12 turnkey Downtown Wake Forest townhomes, has achieved a full sell-out. The final homeowners are expected to close in early 2025. This marks the first sold-out collection Chappell and its development partners have represented in the Wake Forest, NC area.
Wake Forest, NC — Chappell [Powered by Compass] is delighted to announce the complete sell-out of its premier boutique townhome collection, The Forest on Franklin, located on the cusp of Downtown Wake Forest. This modern craftsman-style development, comprised of twelve (12) thoughtfully designed residences, has achieved a significant milestone, underscoring the demand for quality, turnkey housing inventory in one of the Triangle’s most desirable communities.

Nestled at 601 S Franklin Street, The Forest on Franklin offers its new homeowners a seamless blend of contemporary design and small-town charm.
With three distinctive floor plans ranging from 2,500 to 2,900 square feet, the townhomes boast 3-4 bedrooms, up to 4.5 baths, and include high-end features such as optional private elevators, two-car garages, and efficiency-focused appliances. This unparalleled attention to detail has made the community a standout in the local housing market.
“We are proud to have delivered a collection that resonates so deeply with today’s homeowners, and we hope to replicate its success elsewhere in the Triangle.“
– Johnny Chappell, Owner/Broker of Chappell & Member of The Forest on Franklin
FROM THE EXPERTS
“The sell-out of The Forest on Franklin is a testament to the community’s thoughtful design and the strength of the Wake Forest market,” said Johnny Chappell, Owner & Broker of Chappell, and member of the Development Team.
“Not only are we bringing crucial inventory to market, but we’re bringing homes that make an impact. These designer builds exemplify how to blend modern convenience with the charm of a historic area to create a space where buyers can truly thrive. We are proud to have delivered a collection that resonates so deeply with today’s homeowners, and we hope to replicate its success elsewhere in the Triangle.”

Shawn Donovan, Developing Partner and Owner of Concept 8, echoed these sentiments. “We knew from the beginning that The Forest on Franklin had the potential to become something special. Its combination of turnkey functionality and elevated aesthetics set it apart, and we’re thrilled to see that buyers have embraced the vision. We’re excited to bring more projects like this to life in Wake Forest and beyond.”
The Forest on Franklin is an example of how new developments can stand out in a community while still reflecting the neighborhood’s current architectural styles. Designed by Triangle Residential Designs and constructed by Concept 8, the townhomes showcase open-concept living, alfresco entertaining spaces, and designated flex areas—all perfectly aligned with modern lifestyles. Verity Design Studio’s Jenn Cobb provided the project’s sophisticated interiors, enhancing its timeless appeal.
OTHER COLLABORATIONS

In addition to the dozen sold-out residential opportunities at 601 S Franklin St, Chappell and Concept 8 are currently collaborating on several other Triangle developments. In the Lake Johnson area, the teams are bringing 26 duet-style homes at Wrenwood to market. The duet-style community is currently over 50% sold, with the first homes in Phase Two now move-in-ready on Lundy Street. Also, the team is currently delivering Pleasant Grove Townes, a now over 50% sold collection of turnkey, craftsman-style townhomes with unmatched Central Raleigh connectivity.
In addition to the developments Chappell and its partners are currently representing in the Triangle, the team is also set to help bring at least two new home communities to market in early 2025.

Oberlin Villas, a boutique collection of four duet-style luxury builds coming to 1808 Oberlin Road, should begin construction in spring 2025. Meanwhile, the teams are gearing up to release Mitchell Mill, a contemporary townhome community of 14 designer builds in North Raleigh, following construction’s expected kick-off in spring 2025.
