615 Peace Receives 2024 DRA Imprint Award

Chappell [Powered by Compass] is proud to announce that 615 Peace was awarded Downtown Raleigh Alliance’s 2024 Imprint Award. The 75% sold Glenwood South development is a collaboration with Lock 7 Development, Metrocon Inc., and New City Design.
The 2024 Imprint Award is reserved for the year’s most innovative and influential Downtown Raleigh (DTR) developments. This coveted development recognition celebrates a residential collection’s substantial impact on DTR economic growth. Specifically, the annual award is presented at the State of Downtown event to major developments that contributed to Downtown Raleigh’s forward momentum and invested millions in the growing downtown area.
Notably, this marks the third residential recognition for Chappell, including last year’s 2023 Imprint Award Winner, The Dukes At City View in collaboration with Dukes Properties & Construction, and Lambert Development’s award-winning West + Lenoir collection.

“On behalf of my entire Chappell team, we’re honored to receive the Imprint Award for a third time,” says Johnny Chappell, Owner/Broker of Chappell [Powered by Compass].
“Our team and partners excel at bringing innovative, community-focused developments to market, and we’re grateful for their forward-thinking mindset. We’re thrilled to celebrate this achievement with our collaborators and thank them for their dedication. We also appreciate the recognition from the Downtown Raleigh Alliance as we continue to shape the city’s evolving skyline.”

The Downtown Raleigh Alliance (DRA), a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to continuously revitalizing Downtown Raleigh while striving to enhance its overall quality of life and contribute to its economic success.
The 2024 State of Downtown event, held on August 28th at the Raleigh Convention Center, brought together business leaders and community stakeholders across the state to celebrate a year of growth and economic achievement in Oak City.
The State of Downtown event provides a comprehensive business overview of Raleigh’s Central Business District (CBD) to inform and facilitate potential partnerships with investors and real estate professionals. Attendees receive a printed copy of the State of Downtown Raleigh report, which outlines key market trends impacting downtown’s economy and is a valuable resource for investors and the community to stay informed about downtown’s growth and success.

615 Peace is currently 75% sold, with only six (6) move-in-ready residences remaining.
The modern condo collection offers 1-2 bedrooms, three rooftop patios and unparalleled walkable access to DTR’s most popular entertainment district. Each residence includes standard features such as a private balcony, modern design, thoughtful layout and elevated appliances.

WHAT’S NEXT
“615 Peace marked our second Raleigh collaboration with Lock 7 Development. Since its launch, we’ve partnered to bring crucial Triangle housing inventory beyond ITB,” continues Johnny Chappell.
“Outside of Oak City, we’re providing contemporary, move-in-ready opportunities in Downtown Durham with North & Broadway and North Raleigh with Durant Towns. By next year, Chapel Hill homeowners will be able to explore Coker Place, our largest residential development to date, boasting over 107 units, including townhomes, condominiums, and affordable housing units. Simply put? The only people more excited than we are should be future Triangle homebuyers.”
In addition to the award-winning 615 Peace collection, Chappell and its development partners collaborate on several other Downtown and ITB Raleigh developments. Currently, Chappell and its partner Raleigh Architecture Company are delivering IDYLE, ten (10) net-zero-ready townhomes on S Bloodworth Street. At 1111 Garner Road, progress is well underway on the nearly move-in-ready City Hike, twelve solar-ready townhomes built by local partners Concept 8.

Chappell and Concept 8 also partnered to deliver Lyon, a collection of almost sold-out duet-style, modern offerings Inside The Beltline (ITB) Raleigh. In 2025, the companies hope to deliver Oberlin Heights, 11 luxury townhomes underway in the Village District area, and a few other urban infill developments yet to be formally announced.
