“His approach was not, “I’m going to tell you everything you need to know about real estate’, but I’m going to care about you as a human being…And when he finally called us to tell us the offer was accepted, he wanted to make sure we were all on speaker. And he says, ‘Dean [Coster’s two-year-old son], I want you to know that your future brother will be born in North Carolina.”
Coster claims this moment encapsulated her transaction with Gobern, explaining to Hedenburg: “By the way, I’m not pregnant. This was just him knowing that I wanted to have another child, and I wanted to do that in my new home. And that’s the way he told us our offer got accepted.
